Welcome To The E-Zine For Vintage Gunning Enthusiasts!
Double Gun Classics is the world's first e-zine devoted exclusively to the history, collection, appreciation, and refurbishment of double guns and rifles from the late 19 th and early 20 th centuries.

Double Gun Classics is published and delivered every other month via the internet. Each subscriber receives an e-mail notice when the new issue is available. Then, they simply go to the DGClassics web site, click on the new issue link, and the latest DGClassics automatically "downloads" onto their computer as a PDF document. Then, they just open DGClassics, read it on-screen, or print a hard copy.

DGClassics looks like a regular magazine because it IS a regular magazine. It's just specially designed to be delivered through, and easily read, on a computer.
John Campbell is the Editor of Double Gun Classics. He has been a free-lance gun writer for over 35 years and his material has appeared regularly in Gun Digest, Rifle, Handloader, The Accurate Rifle, Precision Shooting and many more shooting enthusiast publications. He was also the Editor of Single Shot Rifle Journal for three years and is now the single-shot editor for Gun Digest. In addition, John is the author of two highly respected books: The Winchester Single-Shot, A History & Analysis and The Winchester Single-Shot, Old Secrets & New Discoveries.

Campbell's interest and passion for double shotguns began when he was a kid. He saved for a 16 Ga. Savage Fox B-ST and hunted small game with it for years. As an adult, he moved up to Parkers, Winchester M-21s and 101s. Then, a renewed interest in skeet thrust him into the Browning Superposed and other over/unders. Finally, sporting clays combined with a sense of history, drew him into more Parkers, L. C. Smiths and eventually to British doubles. John also spent over 29 years on the creative side of top-tier automotive advertising, working on Pontiac, Cadillac, GM Parts & Service, Bendix, Detroit Diesel Allison, Fruehauf, Budd, Johnson Controls, Delphi and a host of other accounts. He has worked in all mediums: film, TV, print and the internet.
